A Rapid City business was breached by a car on Friday morning. The vehicle smashed through the front doors of the Hardware Hank Store in the Baken Park Shopping Center just west of the downtown area.

Rapid City Police Community Relations Specialist Brendyn Medina told Ian Tromp of KOTA Radio that there were no injuries to the driver or store patrons.

"We determined that the driver was trying to pull into a parking spot and hit the accelerator instead of the brake. That caused the vehicle to drive into the front doors causing some damage to the building."

The Rapid City Fire Department was able to extract the car fairly quickly. The driver’s name hasn’t been released.
