Early-Morning Theft at Casino in Sioux Falls

Police are looking for two men after a theft early Thursday at Dareo's Casino, at 2920 South Minnesota Avenue.

Officer Sam Clemens says two men had been playing the video lottery machines, and when they left just before 2am, the clerk locked up.

Clemens says one of the men returned and told the clerk he had left his cellphone in the bathroom, so she went with him to the bathroom but the phone was not there.

She locked up again when the man left, but then she saw money was missing from the cash register.

The clerk told police the other person might have taken the cash.

Clemens says investigators may know the men's names, but no one has been arrested yet.

The amount taken was not released.
