Even Sarah McLachlan Can’t Watch Those Animal Cruelty Ads

Chances are you've been up watching TV in the middle of the night when one of those tear jerking Animal Cruelty commercials featuring Sarah McLachlan comes on, right?

Whenever one of those ads start, my wife immediately makes me change the channel because she can't handle seeing the abused dogs and neglected cats. She's one of these people that loves animals more than a person probably should and it drives her crazy to see animals in that condition.

Well I had to laugh when I came across an article featuring an interview with Sarah McLachlan, where she claims she also needs to change the channel when one of those commercials starts too.

Sarah recently did one of Reddit's "Ask Me Anything" chats when the subject of those ASPCA ads came up. Sarah admitted that she also needs to change the channel each time one of those ads airs. As she says, "They're so difficult to watch. The kitten with the droopy eye, and the three-legged dog, bless them, it kills me."

One of the best comments from the "Ask Me Anything" chat came from a 12-year old boy. The young man said that his friends make fun of him for liking Sarah's music.

Sarah said, quote, "I think it's wonderful you were listening to my music, and they're not really your friends if they can't support your musical tastes. Tell 'em [eff] off from me."
