Additional Information

The Junior League of Sioux Falls, a women’s volunteer organization that empowers women to be a driving force to improve the Sioux Falls community, announces its annual fundraiser "Pumps, Pearls, Purses, Wild Safari Night" will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 14th, at Callaway's Event Center. Tickets to the event are $40, available at JJ's Wine & Spirits (57th and Western) and the funds support the local mission of the Junior League of Sioux Falls (JLSF).

Now in its seventh year, this 'girls-only' fundraiser changes a little every year, but a few things stay constant ... unique menus, fun games, abundant shopping, and a fabulous silent auction.

JLSF current projects include the Human Trafficking Task Force, Human Trafficking Education and the YWCA Women’s Leadership Program.

Past JLSF projects include the Ronald McDonald House, CASA, Avera-Race Against Breast Cancer, Child's Voice, Household Hazardous Waste Program, Starlab Planetarium, and more. JLSF has dealt with a wide range of community issues such as child, teen and women’s health, housing, human trafficking, hazardous waste, domestic violence and senior citizen well-being. Its annual Pumps, Pearls, Purses event (Thursday, March 14th, 2013) is the signature fundraiser, raising funds for its community projects and its membership volunteer training programs.

The Junior League of Sioux Falls, Inc. (JLSF) is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. JLSF is actively looking for new members.

Celebrating its 34th year in 2012-2013, JLSF’s purpose is exclusively educational and charitable. JLSF is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization and member of the Association of Junior Leagues International Inc. More information can be found at www.JLSiouxFalls.org or by calling 605.336.9469.
