Sioux Falls police attended two simultaneous incidents connected to a love triangle on Sunday morning, August 7, 2016 at 1:07 AM.

A collision between a vehicle and a taxi driver at the intersection of 12 Street and Marion Road was the result of a man being chased by his girlfriend's ex-boyfriend. While trying to get away, the man ran a red light and crashed into the taxi.

Another call was coming into police at the same time regarding a weapons violation close by that could be related to the crash.

According to Sergeant Michael Olson, Officers made contact with one of the drivers and victim of an aggravated assault.  The victim stated that he came to visit his girlfriend who lived on Falcon Place in Sioux Falls.
