The children of Marvin Gaye contend that they stole from the music of their late father to create Thicke's hit "Blurred Lines" among other tracks. They are also suing record label EMI for not protecting their father's music better and that there was a conflict of interest because they are owned by the same company that profited from Thicke's music, Sony-ATV Music Publishing.

Both songs sound similar, but I wouldn't say "Blurred Lines" is a ripoff of "Got to Give it Up" either. What do you think?
