Do you know someone who brings their lunch to work everyday?  How about others who are hard pressed to afford that?

Thanks to one Sioux Falls business assistance for the working poor will continue.

Midland National Life Insurance has selected Lunch Is Served, Inc. this year as its recipient of funds employees donated for a local charity.

On Monday, November 2nd Team Sibley and Team Peskey from Sammons Financial presented Lunch Is Served, Inc. with a check for $25,000.

In addition to the financial gift, fifty-five Sammons employees also volunteered at Lunch Is Served this year and prepared 1,175 meals for the working poor in Sioux Falls.

Lunch Is Served, Inc. is a local outreach ministry whose mission is to provide a mid-day meal for the working poor in Sioux Falls. Although the working poor earn an income, their paychecks are committed toward meeting basic living expenses like rent, utilities, etc. For these individuals and their families, food becomes a luxury.

In 2015 Lunch Is Served, Inc will serve close to 29,000 meals to the working poor in our community.
