Early morning commuters Monday will wake to another icy glare on the roads. Temperatures leveled out in the low 30's creating ice and slippery conditions.

A Winter Weather Advisory is also in effect. At this time it does not include the city of Sioux Falls but a large area north and northwest of the city for late today and tonight.

School delays were beginning to roll in before sunrise.

Several callers have said they have traveled roads that have already been sanded but driver should still go slow.

Roads are being treated with salt and sand in and around Sioux Falls. Sidewalks, parking lots, and driveways are "a sheet of glass" so walk with care.

The heavily traveled roads, such as W. 41st Street over I-29 is wet and busy.

One caller reported cars upside down and in the ditch on Hwy 11 just South West of Sioux Falls. One early report said it could have involved up to a dozen vehicles.

Early morning flights were already being cancelled out of Sioux Falls regional airport. If you are scheduled to fly out you might want to check your flight before heading out.

Reports of accidents came in steadily but slowed when sheet of ice on major roads began to melt. Although motorists still dealing with heavy fog and poor visibility.
