Former Iowa Hawkeyes Star Safety Tyler Sash has Passed Away at the Age of 27

Sad news for football fans both in the NFL and College Football.

Former Iowa Hawkeyes star safety Tyler Sash has passed away at the age of 27.

The cause of death has yet to be determined and its been reported by multiple media outlets that a family member found his body.

Sash had 13 interceptions and totaled 217 tackles in just three collegiate seasons and went down as one of the best Hawkeye defensive backs in history of the program.

He ended up only playing a couple of seasons in the NFL, but won a title as a reserve with the Giants in Super Bowl XLVI.
