Former Sioux Falls Stampede Goalie Charlie Lindgren Gets First NHL Win
Welcome to the NHL Charlie!
Sioux Falls Stampede alum Charlie Lindgren, in his NHL debut, gave the Montreal Canadians a win last night over the Carolina Hurricanes.
Lindgren, fresh from completing his college career at St. Cloud State, would let the first shot slip past for a goal but after that settled in to provide a strong defense for the Habs.
Lindgren stopped 26 shots on goal for the 4-2 win.
Not only did Lindgren get a win in his first NHL game in a Canadians uniform, he also earned first star of the game.
And where will the game puck go? To his grandfather.
Sioux Falls will be cheering you on Charlie.
