Justin Hamilton is still in demand as a viable NBA big man. The former Skyforce center is now heading north to Minnesota.

The Timberwolves are in need of depth in the pivot after Nikola Pekovic recently suffered a sprained ankle. Overall Pekovic has only played 27 games for the Wolves this season.

Hamilton’s NBA course now puts him with his third team in the last three weeks. The 7-footer by way of LSU was traded February 19 from Miami to New Orleans, which also involved the Dragic brothers going to Phoenix.

The 2014 NBADL First-Teamer never did hit the court for the Pelicans. Hamilton was waived on Tuesday and picked up Thursday for a team that has recently added the T-Wolves all-timer Kevin Garnett.

So far this season, Hamilton had appeared in 24 games with 5 starts with the Heat averaging 2.8 points and 2 rebounds per game. To make room on the Wolves’ roster, Glenn Robinson III was let go.
