Four men---some armed with bats---broke down the front door of a Sioux house and struck one of the residents with a bat early Friday morning.

"We had two guys inside the house," Sioux Falls Police Spokesman Sam Clemens explained. "They said there were four suspects that broke open the front door. Some of them were armed with bats. At least one of the suspects hit one victim in the head with a bat a few times. The victim said the suspects then left. They didn't take anything. They didn't demand anything. At this point, we have no idea who they are. The victim that was hit in the head said he knew the identity but didn't want to share it with police."

Clemens says the four suspects were believed to be Native American males in their twenties.
