A fight in downtown Sioux Falls on Friday night (May 5) has led to a stabbing. KSFY TV reports the incident took place around 10:00 PM near East 12th Street.

According to the report, when authorities arrived at the scene of the stabbing the victim fled from police on foot. The victim was located a short time later near the 200th block of E 11th Street near the corner of 10th and Mall.

The victim initially resisted authorities before being arrested for fleeing police.

The person was then transported to a Sioux Falls hospital where they were treated for a minor stab wound to the stomach. The other individual involved in the stabbing was arrested and charged with aggravated assault.

The names of the two people are not being released at this time.
