Gunshots Ring out Overnight in Sioux Falls

Sioux Falls police were busy overnight conducting a search for the person or persons responsible for firing four gunshots in the area of 14th Street and Spring Avenue shortly before 3 A.M. on Wednesday, August 3, 2016.

At the time the shots rang out, police officers were conducting a foot patrol in the area of 13th Street and Duluth Avenue. When they arrived in the area where the gunshots were heard, officers were confronted by several citizens saying they’d heard the same thing.

Police canvassed the area but found no evidence.

Police are urging citizens living in the area where the shots were reported to check their property for possible damage or shell casings. Should you find any evidence, authorities ask that you please do not touch it and contact police immediately.
