Trevor Gruis finished his career at USD on Sunday night at the Summit League Tournament in Sioux Falls, SD.

The University of South Dakota senior was the catalyst for the Coyotes in his senior campaign.

The results on the court for the team record wise were a disappointment, but Gruis's career was far from that personally.

The 6ft 9in power forward from Ellsworth MN, averaged 11.3 points per game and 5.9 rebounds per contest for the Coyotes his senior season and 11.1 points per game in his career at USD.

Never flashy, but always the workman.  His rebounding tenacity, defensive mindset and overall leadership will certainly be missed moving forward.

As he exited the game with a little over a minute left to go in the loss to Denver at the Summit League tournament, the USD faithful in attendance along with other fans in the Sioux Falls Arena, gave Gruis his proper send off to what will be remembered as a good career at the University of South Dakota.
