There's a chance you might run into Michael Myers, a Jason Voorhees or even Freddy Krueger, and I'm not talking just on Halloween.

The directory service WhitePages has released a list of how many people living in the U.S. have the same name as famous horror movie icons. They even noted which state has the most people with that name.

As expected, you stand the best chance of meeting a Michael Myers.

If you remember, Myers was the famous silent stalker of babysitters in the 1978 horror movie classic "Halloween."

According to the report, there are 4,282 people living in the U.S. with that characters name. 333 of them live in Ohio alone. Heck, if you live here in South Dakota, you might very well be voting for Michael Myers on Election Day.

There is an Independent candidate named Michael Myers running for Governor on Tuesday, November 4th.

The second most common horror icon name is Stephen King. There are currently 2,068 residing in the U.S. and 168 of them live in Texas.

Norman Bates is the third most popular horror flick name. There are only 96 people currently living in the U.S. that share the same name as the famous killer from the legendary Hitchcock classic "Psycho."

Your chances of meeting a Jason Voorhees or a Freddy Krueger are actually quite slim.

Surprisingly enough there aren't that many men in the U.S. with those two names.

There's only 30 people with the same name as Jason Voorhees the infamous hockey mask wearing killer from the "Friday the 13th" movies.

And believe it or not, there are only five poor souls in America with the name Freddy Krueger. Ironically none of them live on Elm Street. But two of them do live in Washington State.
