Here's another reason why you should make sure you have a series of smoke detectors and a good home fire escape plan established in your home.

A Tea, South Dakota family of six is without a home right now after a fire broke out on Sunday (January 15).

KDLT TV is reporting the fire started overnight. Fortunately, all six family members were able to evacuate safely without any injuries, but, their home and the majority of their belongings appear to be a total loss.

Michael and Jessi Fuller, together with their four children have lived in their Tea home for nearly a year and a half.

The American Red Cross is currently helping the Fuller family with lodging and area neighbors have set up a GoFundMe page to help the family with expenses at this time.

As a result of the fire, the Fullers could use money at the moment for things like; clothing, diapers, and everyday essentials.

The cause of the fire has yet to be determined.
