If you're a big gadget guy or gal, I'm guessing Tuesday, September 9th was a day you had marked on your calendar for quite some time.

The new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6-Plus boasts a larger-screen, curved edges, many hardware improvements, a sharper display, improved camera and a better battery life.

Supposedly the larger screen won't be the only thing that gets a little larger with the iPhone 6. Be prepared if you get one, to have your cell phone bill get a little larger as well.

Chetan Sherma, a telecommunications analyst and consultant says "With every new generation of iPhone, the amount of data people use doubles."

The average iPhone user goes through 1.4 gigabytes of data on their phone every month right now. If you get a new iPhone 6, it should jump to almost three gigabytes according to Sherma. That will more than likely result in a big price jump at pretty much any cell phone carrier.

If you're wondering how in the world you could possibly be going through so much data, keep in mind that streaming video takes a ton. Just watching an hour of Netflix in HD can use a few gigabytes alone.

The new iPhone 6, iPhone 6-Plus goes on sale on September 19th. The new Apple Watch sometime in early 2015.
