Every week new automotive recall notices are sent out. And the National Highway Highway Traffic Safety Administration wants to know what's being done.

Over the last three years, the number of auto recalls has been consistently going up. But federal regulators found that only about 75% of the problems are ever addressed.

According to a recent poll of auto owners, inconvenience and loss of time are the main reasons why consumers are reluctant to take their vehicles in.

Texas has the most unfixed vehicles on the road (based on number of cars registered). Hawaii is second followed by Mississippi, Louisiana and Alabama.
