A team of 24 alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearm agents arrived in Sturgis late Wednesday to investigate the fire that destroyed the popular biker bar, the Full Throttle, earlier in the week.

They will bring their fire investigation resources and expertise to sift through the ashes ato try and determine what started the intense blaze which was first reported at about 12:17 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 8. After 20 minutes, the fire crews were called out of the building because the fire was too intense.

KOTA news reports that the total loss of the Full Throttle Saloon complex is estimated at $10 million.

The ATF is aiding an already massive investigation including the Sturgis Police Department, the Meade County Sheriff’s Office, the South Dakota State Fire Marshal’s Office, and the South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation,
