Hy-Vee food stores in South Dakota, Iowa, Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, Minnesota and Wisconsin are voluntarily recalling several kinds of candy.

Hy-Vee says a milk powder ingredient used in chocolate may be contaminated with salmonella bacteria.

Hy-Vee distributes and sells some of the candy but the actual manufacturer is Palmer Candy Company.

The recalled candy includes chocolate almond bark, chocolate almond pretzels, Holiday Candy Tray, Peppermint Bark, and others.  See a full list at the FDA website.

The candy has sell-by dates between Jan. 26 and Feb. 23.

No illnesses have been reported.
