Travelers, heading east, on I-90 near Mitchell South Dakota after 10 P.M. on the evening of Tuesday, June 14, 2016, undoubtedly encountered some delays.

Around 10:20 that night, two semi trucks crashed closing two lanes of traffic and spilling some 45 gallons of fuel onto Interstate 90.

A flat tire on one of the vehicles driven by a 50 year-old Pierre man caused his vehicle to collide into the back of a truck driven by a 41 year-old Sisseton man. Both vehicles were traveling eastbound on I-90 near mile marker 327.

The eastbound lanes needed to be closed for a brief period as fuel and other debris was removed from the highway.

No one was hurt in the collision.
