I recently had the opportunity to attend a CPR class that included direction on how to use an Automated External Defibrillator.

I am lucky enough to work for a general manager that made this possible by bringing a professional into the workplace and offering the class during regular work hours.

I had taken CPR training many years ago. It was long enough ago that I was very much in need of a refresher course. And I had no experience with an AED.

The main takeaway from this 60 minutes of training was that doing no CPR is much worse than doing CPR wrong. As it was told to me, you will probably never anticipate the environment in which you may need this training but it very well could be the difference between life and death.

If you have not had CPR training lately, you should. Please, find out more at American Heart Association.
