Note to self; don't drink and drive!

Never get behind the wheel when you've had too much to drink, especially while in the vicinity of a police station. Something bad is bound to happen, like this for instance.

KDLT TV reports that Sioux Falls Police are currently searching for the person who drove their vehicle through a retaining wall and into the parking lot of the Law Enforcement Center in downtown Sioux Falls on Sunday.

The incident took place around 4:30 PM on Sunday (October 16).

A white Chevy Impala was traveling south on Minnesota Avenue when it suddenly left the road, went through a fence, down several levels through a series of retaining walls and finally collided with a group of snow plows that were sitting at the bottom of the hill.

According to authorities, the driver of the vehicle then took off on foot leaving the scene of the crash.

Police believe they have a good idea who the driver might be, and hope to apprehend the person soon.

Alcohol was found inside the vehicle. Fortunately, no one was hurt as a result of the accident.
