SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – A Big 12/Pac-12 regular-season men’s basketball game is coming to Sioux Falls. The Sanford Pentagon has secured a contest between Iowa State and Colorado for the 2015-16 season on Nov. 13 at 7 p.m. on Heritage Court.

Tickets go on sale Monday at 1 p.m. at ticketmaster.com and the Pentagon box office.

“As the Pentagon’s reputation grows, so does our ability to draw more top-level basketball to Sioux Falls,” said Eric Larsen, general manager of the Sanford Sports Complex. “Our latest match-up proves Sioux Falls is evolving into a basketball destination, and we are proud to be a part of that.”

Iowa State on Sunday was selected for its fourth-straight NCAA tournament as the No. 3 seed in the South Region. The Cyclones, who will face No. 14 seed UAB on Thursday in Louisville, won its second-straight Big 12 Tournament title Saturday evening, defeating top-seeded Kansas in the championship game. Iowa State finished second in the Big 12 regular-season standings at 12-6. The Cyclones are currently 25-8 and ranked 13th nationally.

Colorado has accepted a bid to play in the College Basketball Invitational. The Buffaloes will host Gardner-Webb on Wednesday. Colorado is 15-17 overall and went 7-11 in Pac-12 play. The Buffaloes entered the Pac-12 Tournament as the 10th seed and were eliminated in the quarterfinals by Oregon.

"We look forward to opening the 2015-16 season at the Sanford Pentagon,” said Iowa State head coach Fred Hoiberg. “It will be a great college basketball environment in a terrific venue as we renew an old rivalry with Colorado."

Iowa State and Colorado have played 147 times; the Cyclones lead the series 77-70. The two teams last played in 2011 when Colorado was a member of the Big 12.

The Pentagon’s resume of major Division I games is quickly growing. In 2013-14, the venue hosted Wisconsin and St. John’s. Wichita State and Memphis played on Heritage Court last season. Additionally, South Dakota and South Dakota State squared off with UNLV and Florida Gulf Coast, respectively, last season.
