Kyle Busch has never done that well at Kansas Speedway. His best ever finish in a Sprint Cup race there was third place prior to Saturday night, along with a list of misadventures.

But Saturday he rolled to victory with the Joe Gibbs Racing number 18 Toyota. His third Sprint Cup win this season.

This came after the fastest car in contention had problems. It was that of number 78 Martin Truex, Jr.

Truex led 172 laps, the most of anybody, but ended up bringing his car back to pit road on Lap 215 because of a loose wheel, the result of a bolt that broke and prevented the tire from mounting properly during a green-flag stop three laps earlier.

Busch took the lead for good on lap number 231. He also survived two more restarts, one that triggered a wreck in Turn 4 that ruined the chances of four strong cars including Denny Hamlin, Brad Keselowski, Kyle Larson and Joey Logano.

After the race went green, the final step for Busch winning his first Sprint Cup race at the 1.5 mile open motor track, was holding off a hard charging Kevin Harvick.

Kurt Busch was third, Matt Kenseth fourth and Rookie of the Year contender Ryan Blaney came home fifth. See where your driver came in.
