Legendary Nitty Gritty Dirt Band in Mitchell August 29

When I think of the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, there's about twenty great hits that come to mind, led off by a legendary song they did 'Mr. Bojangles'.

When my son thinks of the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, he immediately thinks of 'Fishin' In The Dark' and can sing along with it.

That is probably a matter of generation there! Of course, in between those songs (and great songs since!), the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band has built a nearly half century career that has stood the test of time.

I've had the great pleasure of seeing the 'boys' several times in the Black Hills when I lived in Rapid City. My son had the pleasure of seeing them down in Council Bluffs, Iowa some years ago (I hope he didn't make a spectacle of himself loudly singing along...although that's hard not to do).
