You'd think we'd be used to it, living this far north, but every time it snows, the scanner goes crazy and police calls roll in to respond to single and multi-car accidents all over the city. And it's happening again this (Sunday) morning as just over an inch of snow has fallen in Sioux Falls.

A driver had to be extracted from their car at I-229 and Russell Street. An SUV hit a snow plow at I-29 and I-229. There was a rollover on I-29 at mile marker 86. And there have been plenty of reports of vehicles in ditches.

The system is expected to move out of the area by early afternoon but remember to slow down and TRY to remember that snow is slippery. Just because it's a "pretty" snow, doesn't make it any easier to drive on.
