It's something special to get a no-hitter or perfect game within one baseball/softball season. It's even more special when two colleges get them within three days.

Augustana University and The University of Sioux Falls both had a reason to celebrate over the last week.

It all started with Jacob Blank tossing a no-hitter for Augustana against Minnesota Duluth on Saturday. Blank secured Augie's eighth no-hitter in school history, and continued his dominate season extending his record to 8-0 with a 0.00 ERA.

Just three days later, USF received its first perfect game in the Division II record books for softball. Kerrigan Hoshaw, sophomore, threw a perfect game in a 8-0 win over Concordia St. Paul. She struck out four batters on her way to her 10th win of the season. Hoshaw followed up that performance by picking up a win in the second game of the doubleheader against Concordia St. Paul. She is currently 11-8 overall on the year.

Augustana returns to action on Thursday, April 20 against Southwest Minnesota State. USF will travel to play a doubleheader against Concordia St. Paul on Saturday, April 22.
