Sioux Falls Police Information Officer Sam Clemens says a 60-year-old Louisiana man was arrested at the Heart Hospital Monday night.

"He showed up at the Heart Hospital and gave them a fake name. He was trying to get some pills. He complained of being in pain and gave the whole story to the doctor. The hospital staff actually recognized  red flags. They found out he had used the fake name before. So, police were called in. Officers got there and found out what his real name is.  He was arrested for trying to obtain drugs illegally."

Clemens says it's not uncommon for some residents to illegally get drugs.

"We have a lot of people that are constantly changing scripts and stealing pills and trying to get more pills when they have plenty already."

In another incident, Clemens says a Sioux Falls man is in jail after he reportedly ripped off an expensive Persian rug.

"A business had some construction work being done. One of the contractors' employees decided he liked a rug and took it out the door with him. That was captured on video. The business notified his employer.  In turn, the employee was asked to return the Persian rug. He did and was arrested for grand theft."

The subject has been identified as 37-year-old Derk Schleder of Sioux Falls.
