Madison, South Dakota residents have permission to use water for non-drinking purposes.  Initial tests have allowed for water usage in order to shower, wash laundry or dishes plus other household water usages.  For consumption, water must still be boiled before usage.  Further testing on the water needs to be completed before water can be deemed safe to consume. Those results are expected sometime Friday.

The reason for problems with the water in Madison is due to a concrete roof collapse over an underground well at the water treatment plant.  The accident occurred on Wednesday night.
