Magic! stopped by 'The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon' last night (July 10) and performed their summer hit, 'Rude,' which you can see here.

The Canadian band stopped by PopCrush recently to talk about working on their first album, 'Don't Kill the Magic,' which was released on July 1.

"I say it's all about great songs," lead singer Nasri Atweh said about their songwriting process as a band. "We come together to add to a great song [whether] it's a guitar part, or a trumpet part, or bass part, or lyrical -- which, by the way -- comes from anybody. We work together to create a great song."

Atweh explained that the inspiration for 'Rude!' came from a night with a girlfriend whom he described as "darker." Atweh elaborated, "She was like, 'Why do you got to be so rude? Stop screaming at me.' About three versions later, we really loved that chorus."

"So this weird picture went into my head of a guy saying 'no' to a guy trying to marry a girl. It's really made up from nothing and now it became this weird story that has people wondering whether I lost the love of my life," he added.
