The Make Some Happy Toy Drive was born right around the same time Nate Burdine's daughter, Liberty was. He wanted to begin a tradition (with his daughter) of helping less fortunate children and commemorate Father's Day at the same time.

He wanted this to be something he could point to in the future, to teach his child that you can make a difference in the world, on your own, and by asking others to join in the effort.

With that goal in mind, he contacted area businesses to act as drop-off points where people could donate new toys, games or books for distribution to children being served by the Compass Center, Children's Inn, and the Family Visitation Center.

All this week (through Sunday, June 18, 2017) you can drop off your donations at locations around Sioux Falls and in Tea. Additionally, DooGooders will be sending out their DooCrew on Father's Day, this Sunday (June 18) to pick up items.

For more information and/or pickup of donations for the toy drive, call 605-951-1176 or send an email to scooper@doogooders.com
