Recent rumblings have suggested that Netflix Making a Murderer focus Steven Avery may yet have more to his story, but many viewers were equally captivated by defense attorneys Dean Strang and Jerry Buting. Now, the former’s breakout fame has netted a new Covert Media docuseries focusing on flaws in the system, titled Dean Strang: Road to Justice.

Per Deadline, Strang will host the eight-episode series as it investigates “big legal cases that demonstrate major flaws in the criminal justice system.” The report even makes a comparison to Anthony Bourdain’s Parts Unknown, claiming Road to Justice will be shot in vérité style.

Says Covert producer Saul Goldberg:

Through his captivating work as Steven Avery’s defense attorney that we encountered in Making A Murderer, Dean Strang has become a leading voice in the fight for justice. We are thrilled to be working with Dean on this landmark series that will shine a light on many other extraordinary cases where the criminal justice system has failed.

As if legal practice and prolific work on the Steven Avery case weren’t achievement enough already, Strang and co-counsel Jerry Buting have also engaged in a 26-city speaking tour across the country in discussion of both the Avery case and American criminal justice at large.

No word on a timetable just yet, but is Dean Strang: Road to Justice worth tuning in for, however further infuriated its viewers can expect to become?
