PIERRE - A Pierre man is facing felony charges after he allegedly stole money from a club and led police officers on a chase.

KCCR reports that 36-year-old Cody Cruse made his first court appearance Monday. He did not enter a plea to a charge of third-degree burglary and grand theft.

Stanley County Chief Deputy Sheriff Greg Swanson says an employee of the club found the man going through the safe about 8:30 a.m. Saturday. When officers arrived, a pursuit ensued with speeds reaching 90 mph. Cruse was located about three hours later.
