Watertown Police say a death initially determined as suspicious actually turned out to be accidental. A fall is the cause of death for a Watertown man.

According to reports, officers were notified of an unresponsive man behind the Hubbard Feeds building at 151 4th Street NE at 7:26 AM Wednesday morning. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The deceased had no identification on him when found by the officers. However Police were eventually able to determine him to be 22-year-old Angel Montes DeOca from Watertown.

Officials concluded that DeOca was climbing on the exterior of the building. The time of the fall was most likely about 2:30 AM.

An autopsy will eventually be performed. The South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation also assisted in the investigation.
