Looks like the third time is the charm for actor/director Timothy Busfield and former child star Melissa Gilbert.

The pair are each walking down the aisle for the third time -- but for the first time, together. Dawwww.

Gilbert, 48, who rose to fame as a youngin' on 'Little House on the Prairie,' and 55-year-old Busfield began dating relatively recently, as she was still dating then-boyfriend Thierry Gauchet when she was hospitalized while a contestant on 'Dancing With the Stars' last spring.

"They've known each other for quite some time, as their paths have crossed off-and-on over the past 20 years," a source told Us Weekly.

And it looks like whatever spark there was finally caught fire -- Busfield popped the question over the holidays, and Gilbert's rep confirmed, "They are engaged and both are incredibly happy."

Timothy's acting credits include work on the TV shows 'thirtysomething' and 'The West Wing' and directing stints on series including 'Damages,' 'Lipstick Jungle' and 'Without a Trace.'

As for their personal lives, Gilbert was previously married to Bo Brinkman and Bruce Boxleitner (clearly she has a thing for guys with "B" last names) and has two kids, while Busfield was also married twice and has three children of his own.

Congrats, guys. Hopefully this is the last wedding we'll report for either of you.
