Men Are More Paranoid Than Women About Cheating
How does that old song from the Kinks go, “paranoia will destroy you.”
That saying seems to apply to a lot of people in relationships these days. Especially men.
According to a new poll, more men have gone through their partner’s cell phones to see if they’ve been cheating than women.
I would of have thought it would be the exact opposite and woman would have been the more likely candidates to snoop through their significant others phone, but I was wrong.
The majority of men, 64% admitted to checking their wife or girlfriend’s cell phone for incriminating text messages to other guys. While only 34% of women had done the same according to a new survey from Female First.
Here’s what’s interesting, the little cell phone re-con mission paid off for almost half of the people who secretly checked up on their significant other or spouse.
48% reported that they actually found something.
Women showed more guts when it came to confronting the other person about the cheating evidence. 59% of women, compared to just 37% of men, actually confessed to snooping and told the other person what they had found.
And now for the million dollar question, what would you have done, had you found your significant other breaking the circle of trust and perusing your phone?
31% of the people surveyed said had they caught their partner going through their phone, they’d seriously consider ending the relationship.
