In this age of political correctness that we now live in, one school in Minnesota has waved the white flag and surrendered.

Students at the Bruce Vento Elementary in St. Paul will no longer be able to exchange valentines, celebrate Halloween, Thanksgiving, or even Christmas.

The St. Paul school has joined many other public schools across the nation in opting out of holiday celebrations, striving to be more culturally sensitive and inclusive.

The schools principle Scott Masini recently sent out a letter to parents explaining the schools new stance. The letter that has drawn both criticism and support stated that he came to the difficult decision to stop the celebrations "until we can come to a better understanding of how the dominant view will suppress someone else's view."

The student body of the school is predominantly Asian and black. English is a second language for more than half of the students who attend, who come from a variety of faith backgrounds.

Is this about to become the new normal? As a parent, how would you feel if you received a letter like this from your child's school?
