It doesn't matter what the season I love Minnesota's state parks. My brother, along with his wife and daughter decided to try an April trip to Frontenac State Park, which is just South East of Redwing on the Mississippi River.

April is a great time to go camping. My brother set up a tent for him and his family, while I did some SUV RVing.

For the last couple of years I've been gradually outfitting my Honda Pilot to work as a one person recreational vehicle for state park camping. With some organization and additions, the SUV RVing in the Honda works fantastic for camp outings.

I've been to many state parks throughout the United States and I must say I really enjoyed Frontenac. Great scenery, hiking trails, & great park service staff. This is just a little video from our April Outdoor Adventure.

Oh...we didn't see "Pepie", the rumored Lake Pepin Monster.
