The Minnesota Vikings were rumored to be targeting a wide receiver or maybe some more help on the defensive side of the ball and they did exactly that.

At #23 in the 2016 NFL Draft, the Minnesota Vikings selected Mississippi wide receiver Laquon Treadwell.

This has to be viewed as a home run get for the Vikings and a great addition to the offense.

Treadwell saw his draft stock fall a bit after the NFL Combine and his 4.6 40 yard dash time but if you watch the tape and I watch a lot of tape, he seems like the best wide receiver in the NFL Draft.

I love his ability to go up and get a ball at it's peak and flat out just make big plays.

He had a horrific injury two years ago but returned from that and continue to shine at Ole Miss.

The Vikings addressed a need at wide receiver and they got a playmaker in the process.

We'll see if Treadwell will be one of the 26% to make the Pro Bowl over the years after being selected in the 23rd spot of the NFL Draft.
