The Sioux Empire Fair is underway at the W.H. Lyon Fairgrounds. From the carnival rides to the fair food, live music, exhibits, bingo and more, there’s something for everyone at the Sioux Empire Fair.

Buckcherry is an American rock band from Anaheim, California formed in 1995. The band released two albums,Buckcherry (1999) and Time Bomb (2001), before dissolving in the summer of 2002. In 2005, lead vocalist Josh Todd and lead guitarist Keith Nelson reformed Buckcherry and released a new album on April 16, 2006. Buckcherry’s hits include Billboard Hot 100 top ten hit, “Sorry” and “All Night Long”.
The Beach Boys
Wednesday, August 6 – 8:00pm
The Beach Boys hit singles include “Surfin’ USA”, “Fun, Fun, Fun”, “California Girls”, “I Get Around”, and “Good Vibrations”. They are led by Mike Love (an original member) and Bruce Johnston, who along with Christian Love, Randell Kirsch, Tim Bonhomme, John Cowsill and Scott Totten continue the legacy of the iconic American band.
Thursday, August 7– 8:00pm
Country fans voted Parmalee’s debut single, “Musta Had A Good Time,” #1 for 4 consecutive weeks on SiriusXM’s The Highway “Hot 30 LIVE” countdown. PARMALEE is recognized for their #1 smash hit single “Carolina”.

Randy Houser’s newest single, “Goodnight Kiss”, joins his #1 smash hit singles “Runnin’ Outta Moonlight” and “How Country Feels”.
Friday, August 8– 8:00pm
Five months after winning Season 10 of “American Idol,” McCreery released his debut album,Clear As Day, which became the best-selling solo album released by a country artist in 2011. His impressive evolution is immediately evident on his second studio album, See You Tonight, which artfully captures who he is now, both as an artist and as a man.

Senior Citizen Appreciation Day
Free lunch for seniors at noon, in the corporate tent near the Front Porch, sponsored by Lewis Drug. Pick up your lunch ticket in advance at Sioux Falls’ stores.
Fair history in the Arts Center at 11 am.
Front Porch: Sherwin Linton at 11 am. Six Appeal at noon.
Exhibit Hall shopping opens at 10 am. Win prizes playing Plink-o at the Grand Falls Casino & Golf Resort booth.
Model Train Exhibit opens at 10 am.

Ag Appreciation Day
Thank a farmer! Salute to Farmers lunch and entertainment for farmer’s and people in ag in the Grandstand. Sponsored bySioux Falls Area Chamber of Commerce.
Visit the new Pipestone Discovery Barn.
Dollar rides on the Midway.
4-H Dairy Show, 4-H Poultry Show, and FFA Market Hogs at 9 am.
Exhibit hall shopping opens at 10 am.

Pie Contest in the Arts Center at noon.
4-H Speaking Contest Finals at noon on the gazebo/Band Stand Stage in Pioneer Lane.

4-H Character Counts Carnival opens at 10 am near the family stage.
Old Mac Donald’s Farm opens at 10 am.
Pipestone Discovery Barn opens at 10 am.
Story time featuring the book “The Guardian Team” by Cat Urbigkit in the Arts Center at 11 am.
