Mother Nature was busy hitting South Dakota with a mixed bag of severe weather that produced severe thunderstorms, tornadoes and blizzard conditions on Mother's Day in parts of the state.

A tornado rolled through the city of Delmont, South Dakota around 10:45 Sunday morning destroying 20 some buildings and injuring at least 9 people. At last report the entire city of Delmont was without power and the entire city is being evacuated for public safety reasons.

The far western half of South Dakota remains under a Winter Storm warning until 6 PM Sunday night. Parts of western South Dakota are expected to receive anywhere from 1 to 15 inches of snowfall, along with high winds creating blizzard like conditions through Sunday night.
