MTV’s ‘Unplugged’ Is Coming Back First Performer Announced

MTV's "Unplugged" aired from 1989-1999 and has featured numerous artist. Nirvana, LL Cool J, KISS and many more. Well The show is getting a reboot and the first performer has been announced, Shawn Mendes!

Shawn Mendes will be the performer of the first episode, which will air on September 8, 2017from downtown Los Angeles’ Theater at Ace Hotel. Mendes told Variety he's been working hard to play his music in a "beautiful way" on the smaller, stripped down set of Unplugged. He went on to say that if he does "this right," it will be a moment where people can understand him better as a performer.

More acts will be announced at a later date. Who else would you like to see perform on "Unplugged?"
