Daddy Daughter Suburu Commercial Brings Tears [VIDEO]

Anybody who knows me knows that I’m not particularly fond of children.  I’m not malicious towards them; I just get more excited about a puppy than a baby.  Anybody who knows me also knows that I’m the biggest sap in the world.  I cry at movies, TV shows, books, country songs, and the list goes on.

The latest thing that got my chin to quiver was the newest Suburu commercial.  In the commercial a young girl is going to her first day of school.  She is waiting at the bus stop with her dad and when the bus comes you can see that she and her dad are very nervous.  She takes those brave first steps onto the yellow school bus and her dad decides to follow the bus in his Suburu.  His spying leads to relief when he sees that she is making friends and having a good time on the bus.

I’m a blubbering mess by the end of this commercial.  That little girl is too cute.  If I could be promised a kid that looked like that I might consider having one.  I know I mentioned before that I don’t have a strong parental pull, but I am a daughter.  I have a pretty good relationship with my dad and even though he wasn’t there to put me on the school bus my first day, he was there for a lot of other emotional times in my life.  I’m getting teary even writing this.  Seriously, I have a disorder.

About a year ago, I had some health issues and he was there for almost every doctor’s appointment even though he lives in Sioux City and all my doctors are here in Sioux Falls.  He took days off even when his vacation and sick time ran out just to help me out.  I guess you could say that whole Daddy’s Girl thing came into play.

I’m not married yet, but this commercial just makes me think about my Father/Daughter dance and all the Father/ Daughter dances I’ve seen before. (Most of which I cry during.)  I know that the commercial features actors, but I can’t help but think about that little girl’s wedding and that overprotective Dad dancing with her.

So, if you are like me and like a good cry, check out this commercial and don’t forget to give a thank you to your Dad or Mom or whoever it is in your life that is there for you.
