The coaching carousel in South Dakota continues to roll on. Washington High School has a new gymnastics coach, while Mitchell has hired a new basketball coach.

Ashlee Wilber, a graduate of South Dakota State University and Roosevelt High School, has been announced as the new head gymnastics coach at Washington High School. The Sioux Falls School District announced the hire on Wednesday (April 26). Wilber competed in gymnastics while attending Roosevelt, and spent last season as an assistant coach at Washington.

Mitchell has found a brand new head basketball coach, and they found a great one. Todd Neuendorf will move to from Aberdeen Roncalli to Mitchell. He led Aberdeen Roncalli to a state championship in Class A back in 2015. Mitchell Activities Director Cory Aadland confirmed the move on Twitter on Monday (April 24).

Neuendorf replaces Erik Skoglund. Skoglund resigned after the basketball season concluded and he will become the new head coach at Spearfish according to the Black Hills Pioneer.

A couple of other moves have taken place over the last month. In case you missed it...

Adam Quail will be the new head girls basketball coach in Lennox. Quail has spent the last couple of seasons under David Maxwell at Roosevelt. He replaces Dan DeVries, who is moving on to be the new Activities Director at Lennox following the retirement of Rich Luther.

Erik Iverson has been hired as the new head football coach at Rapid City Central following the resignation of Rob Sales. Iverson was an assistant on the Cobblers staff last season. Rapid City Central finished 3-6 on the season. The South Dakota High School Activities Association has confirmed the move on their roster page.
