If you love mountain biking, then you should make a trip to Brookings this weekend. A brand new two-mile off-road bike trail is opening Saturday that features rough terrain, rocks, dirt and wooden bridges.

According to the Brookings Register, The project took about six years to make and was finally finished within the last two weeks. A single track is up and ready to go while a skills development area is set to come in the near future.

This weekend is the grand opening of the new trail at Dakota Nature Park. The event is free and open to the public. There will be demo rides, food, tents and tours!
