Now that the Bishop Dudley Hospitality House is open, the Shelter's Executive Director Chad Campbell says volunteers are needed!

"Yes, we have volunteer opportunities every day Monday through Sunday. The best time for the evenings between 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM. That's when we have our check in process and screening the guests for overnight stay. It's a time to hand out linens and talk with the guests to get them comfortable. Get them down to sleep and then during the weekends, we have the same opportunity as well as during the day. We also need help with answering phones and organizing some of our supplies."

If you'd like to assist the Bishop Dudley Hospitality House, Chad encourages you to call the House.

"Please contact us at 809-8424 and ask for me. You can also talk with Derrick, our volunteer coordinator, and we'll get you set up."

Chad says the House is different from any other homeless shelter in the Sioux Falls area.

"If we can provide a 'one-stop-shop' for individuals who are struggling in various areas, we can provide that need and get all the services they need to try and move forward in their lives."

The Bishop Dudley Hospitality House in Sioux Falls can accommodate eighty men, twenty women, and seven families. Aside from a place to sleep, the House offers its guests everything from laundry facilities to family day rooms.
