Start planning now if a trip to the Super Bowl is on the bucket list. The NFL has announced the official date for Super Bowl LII in Minneapolis.

Minnesota will host the Super Bowl on February 4, 2018. The bid for the event was won back in 2014, and US Bank Stadium will be the second venue in Minneapolis to host the big time event.

The Super Bowl was previously hosted in Minnesota back in 1992 at the Metrodome. Super Bowl XXVI was won by the Washington Redskins over the Buffalo Bills 37-24.

US Bank Stadium opens this season and will also host the NCAA Final Four in 2019. The first event to be held in US Bank Stadium will be a soccer game between AC Milan vs. Chelsea. Musicians Metallica, and Luke Bryan have both booked dates for the middle of August to help open the new stadium.
