When you think of 'Sinful States of the United States' what state do you think of first? I immediately thought Nevada would top the list, what with Las Vegas and all.

According to a recent study by WalletHub Nevada is up there but only #3. Florida tops the list as the Most Sinful State.

When coming up with the list WalletHub compared all 50 states using 38 key indicators of immorality including things like violent crimes per capita to excessive drinking to share of the population with gambling disorders.

Topping out the list of 'Most Sinful States' are:

1-Florida

2-California

3-Nevada

4-Texas

5-Georgia

Interestingly even though South Dakota has it's own legalized gambling and our own little 'Vegas' atmosphere out in Deadwood we ranked towards the bottom of the list at #41.

Here is how some of the other states in our region ranked on the list of 'Most Sinful':

    • North Dakota - #49
    • Minnesota - #37
    • Iowa - #46
    • Nebraska - #42
